What inspired you to start your business? 
A passion for creating pretty things in sugar, starting with my kids birthday parties and then it just grew until finally the dream cake shop serving gorgeous cakes and lovely tea.

What do you love about your business?
Cakes bring people a moment of joy - from a simple treat to a celebration of a life event. I love being part of that. Plus the creative side - every cake is a new challenge, a new design - so its really rewarding when it turns out well.

What's your favourite menu item?
Caramel fudge cupcake with praline shards and a salted caramel drizzle - YUM!

What little thing in life gives you joy?
The ocean, a hug, hearing people's stories when they come into our little shop.

How do you recharge your batteries?
Surfing, ski paddling, running, swimming - anything outdoors, near the beach and active.

Honestly, it's the Tielka Breakfast Black Tea - I love it - soft and fragrant with no after taste. I always have a pot on the go whilst I'm making cakes.

September 2017

What inspired you to start your business? 
I love pretty things and creating experiences for people. I had been to a really average high tea and decided that Brisbane needed a High Tea Parlour that made delicious items on site with passion and flair!

What do you love about your business?
I love the people. It's always about the people and bringing a little joy into lives. It's the best feeling. I also love the family of staff that I've brought together and of course the positively divine desserts that we create.

What's your favourite menu item?
A week ago I would have said out Cream Puffs, but as of today I have just had the pleasure of having a Banoffee pie with a cup of South Cloud Chai.

What little thing in life gives you joy?
Reading, I'm an avid reader and love all genres. I would say my children, but they aren't little joys, they are huge!

How do you recharge your batteries?
This is a guilty pleasure and I shouldn't admit it, but I love watching reality TV. Give me the Housewives of New York or OC and I shut off, relax and let my brain turn to mush for 30 minutes. I come away feeling like a superior human being (joke)!

What inspired you to start your business? 
I have always had a love of spices and Mexican culture and started creating my own spice mix. I found it hard to buy quality bulk spices locally and that's when the little spice seed was planted! I sat and thought about other things in life I'm passionate about and came up with spices, all things Mexican, creating unique pieces of furniture and of course tea! I also needed a name for my business. One day my young daughter showed me a picture she had just drawn, I asked her to tell me about it, " Mummy its the fox's palace" Ding! With her permission it became my business name because anything can come out of The Fox's Palace.

What do you love about your business?
I love that every day is different. I love the customers that come in to the shop and the conversations to go with that. I get to create every day!

What little thing in life gives you joy?
Cooking is my meditation. I love when I have time to create a dish whether it's a simple or complex dish. I love creating using herbs and spices, the aromas can take me anywhere in the world.

How do you recharge your batteries?
I live on a farm so I love nothing more to sit in the morning sun listening to the wonderful sounds that surround me and just be.

What inspired you to start your business? 
I love that we are serving fabulous food and beverage and people are loving it! I love that our little cafe is only 35m2 in total so our running costs and carbon footprint are at a minimum. I love that we serve all our takeaway items in eco packaging and that this decision (whilst slightly more expensive for us) is received with gratitude and appreciation by our customers. I love that we can easily provide gluten free and vegetarian options, as living in a small town are not so easy to come by. I also love the gifts of fresh homegrown produce given to us by our friends that Ash then turns into an amazing rhubarb crumble or leek and mushroom frittata.

What's your favourite menu item?
ANY of Ash's delicious cakes!!!

What little thing in life gives you joy?
Laughter, music and fantastic food

How do you recharge your batteries?
We both enjoy yoga with our local teacher. We also enjoy lonnnng lunches at The Zin House (Ash's former employment) where all the food is grown on site and organic. I love live music, wine and not acting my age.

What inspired you to start your business? 
Everything at Temple Coffee is about being as local as possible. Even the coffee machine is an old fashion manual Fracino that brews the perfect coffee, I think the coffee machine is pretty special!

What's your favourite menu item?
I must say Coffee made with Green Lane plantation beans from Mt Tamborine, although it goes side by side with Tielka's Sticky Turmeric Chai.

What little thing in life gives you joy?
Consciously, every little thing becomes joyful. I really like how I can take Temple Coffee everywhere that a car wheel can drive into. The scenarios keep changing, and it's one more beautiful than the other. Also, the change from paper cups to Joco cups. I hope everyone jumps on board on this mission to save the planet!

How do you recharge your batteries?
The trailer batterie's or mine? :). Walks on the beach to calm the spirit, kundalini yoga weekly to keep me strong, surround myself with amazing humans always helps the energy to flow always in the right directions.
